  May 18, 2002Fine

Our teacher told us something about the Hope Project in class this morning. He said,"Now in the countryside many children are very poor and still can't go to school. Can you help them?"

After school, I went home. In my room, I saw the little box on the table, in which I kept my pocket money. Though I wanted to buy a pocket recorder, I decided to send the money to the children in the countryside. They are eager to go to school. I wrote a letter to them at once. After finishing writing it, I went to the post office and posted all my pocket money together with the letter.

I felt very happy today because I've done a good deed.

  希望工程英語日記 3

Today, I learned about Project Hope for the first time in my English class. Our teacher showed us some pictures and videos about the project, and I was deeply touched.

Project Hope aims to help children from poor families receive education. Many kids in rural areas can’t go to school because their families can’t afford it. They have to work on farms or do other jobs instead of studying. However, with the support of Project Hope, these children get a chance to enter classrooms, open books, and learn knowledge.

I was especially moved by a story of a little girl. She lived in a small mountain village. Before Project Hope came to her village, she could only dream of going to school. But now, she studies hard every day and wants to be a teacher in the future to help more kids like her.

After class, I discussed with my classmates about how we could help. Some said we could donate our old books and stationery, while others thought we could raise money. I decided to start by collecting my unused school things and sending them to those in need. I hope my small efforts can make a difference and bring some warmth to these children. I’m looking forward to doing more for Project Hope.

Today, I took part in a fundraising activity for Project Hope organized by our school. It was an unforgettable experience.

Early in the morning, we set up booths on the school playground. We displayed many items, including handmade crafts, second - hand books, and toys. All the students and teachers were very supportive. They came to our booths, asked about the items, and bought what they liked. Some even made extra donations without taking anything.

I was in charge of selling books. A classmate of mine brought several interesting storybooks. When a little boy came and saw a picture book about animals, his eyes lit up. I told him the money we got would help children who couldn’t afford school. He immediately took out his pocket money and bought it. He said he hoped those kids could also read such good books.

By the end of the day, we raised a considerable amount of money. I felt so proud that we could contribute to Project Hope in this way. It made me realize that as long as everyone offers a little help, we can gather great power to change many children’s lives. I can’t wait for the next chance to help!

Today, I visited a primary school supported by Project Hope in a nearby rural area. It was a day full of emotions and inspiration.

When we arrived at the school, we were warmly welcomed by the teachers and students. The school buildings were simple but clean. Although the classrooms didn’t have advanced teaching equipment like those in our school, the students’ enthusiasm for learning was amazing.

I was paired with a girl named Lingling. She was shy at first, but soon we became friends. She showed me her study notes and told me how much she loved coming to school. She said without Project Hope, she might have to stay at home and help with farm work. Now, she could study math, Chinese, and English, and her favorite subject was English. She wanted to learn it well so that she could communicate with people from all over the world one day.

I also joined their classes. The teachers taught with great patience, and the students listened attentively. After class, we played games together. Their laughter filled the whole campus. Before leaving, I gave Lingling some English storybooks and a pen. She hugged me tightly and said she would study harder.

This visit made me cherish my study opportunities more and strengthened my determination to support Project Hope continuously. I hope more people can pay attention to these children and help them fulfill their dreams.

Today, I participated in a volunteer teaching activity for Project Hope during the weekend. It was both challenging and rewarding.

I was assigned to teach English to the third - grade students in a Project - Hope - supported school. When I entered the classroom, the students looked at me curiously. I was a little nervous at first, but their innocent smiles quickly made me feel at ease.

I started the class with some simple English songs. The students followed me and sang loudly, although their pronunciation wasn’t perfect. Then, I taught them some basic English words about animals and fruits through pictures and games. They were so active and eager to learn. They raised their hands high, trying to answer my questions.

One boy named Xiaoming was very interested in English. He kept asking me more questions and wanted to learn more words. I was happy to teach him. After class, some students came to me and showed me their drawings. They drew beautiful pictures and wrote some English words they had learned on them.

During the break, I talked with the local teacher. She told me that since Project Hope helped build the school and provided educational resources, the students’ learning conditions had improved a lot. However, they still needed more support, especially in language learning.

This teaching experience made me understand the importance of education in changing lives. I will keep volunteering and help these lovely children learn more knowledge.

Today, our school held an exhibition about Project Hope, and I was one of the organizers. It was a meaningful day that left a deep impression on me.

We spent weeks collecting materials, including photos, videos, and stories of children helped by Project Hope. We arranged them neatly on the walls of the school hall. The exhibition showed the difficult lives of children in poor areas before Project Hope and their improved study and living conditions after getting help.

When the exhibition opened, many students and teachers came to visit. Some were shocked by the pictures of children working in the fields instead of studying. Others were moved by the stories of students who achieved excellent grades with the help of Project Hope.

I served as a guide, introducing the content of the exhibition to the visitors. I told them how Project Hope helped build schools, provided scholarships, and trained teachers. Many people said they didn’t realize there were so many children in need, and they wanted to do something to help. Some students decided to donate their pocket money, and some teachers planned to participate in volunteer teaching activities.

I felt so glad that our exhibition could raise people’s awareness of Project Hope. I believe more support will come to these children, and they will have a brighter future. I’m proud that I can play a part in spreading the spirit of Project Hope.

Today, I received a letter from a girl named Meimei, whom I’ve been helping through Project Hope for a year. Reading her letter made my day.

In the letter, Meimei shared her recent life and study. She told me that she got the first place in her class in the last math exam. She was very excited and thanked me for the study materials I sent her. She also said that she liked the English dictionary I gave her and used it every day to learn new words.

She described her school life in detail. Her school now has a new library because of Project Hope, and she often reads books there. She made many new friends, and they study and play together. She also attached a drawing of her school, which was full of colors and joy.

I was extremely happy to see her progress. It made me feel that my efforts were worthwhile. I immediately wrote back to her, congratulating her on her good grades and encouraging her to keep working hard. I also promised to send her more interesting books.

This letter - exchange made me closer to Meimei. I hope I can accompany her to grow up and help her achieve her dreams. I will always stand by her side and support her through Project Hope.

Today, I joined a group of volunteers to promote Project Hope in our community. It was a great opportunity to let more people know about this meaningful cause.

We prepared brochures, posters, and some small gifts. First, we put up colorful posters in the community center, near the supermarket, and on the bulletin boards of residential buildings. Then, we went door - to - door, introducing Project Hope to the residents.

At first, some people were a little hesitant and didn’t understand what we were doing. But when we showed them pictures of children in need and told them how Project Hope changed their lives, many people were touched. A kind grandmother donated 200 yuan on the spot and said she hoped the money could help a child go to school. A young couple also expressed their interest in becoming long - term donors.

We also set up a small booth in the community square. We played videos about Project Hope and answered people’s questions. Many parents brought their children, and we told the kids stories about helping others. The children were very interested and said they wanted to give their old toys and books to those poor kids.

By the end of the day, we successfully raised people’s awareness of Project Hope. I felt that as long as we keep spreading the word, more love and support will reach those children who need help. I’m looking forward to more promotion activities in the future.

Today, I attended a sharing meeting about Project Hope held by our school. It was an eye - opening and inspiring event.

Several volunteers who had been to Project - Hope - supported schools shared their experiences. One volunteer showed us photos of the children she taught. She told us how the children’s eyes sparkled when they learned new knowledge. She also mentioned the difficulties they faced, such as the lack of teaching resources and poor learning environments.

Another volunteer shared a touching story. A boy in the school was very talented in painting, but his family couldn’t afford to buy him painting supplies. Thanks to Project Hope, he received art materials and even participated in a local painting competition. Now, he dreams of becoming a famous painter.

After the sharing, we had a discussion. Many students suggested that we could establish a long - term donation system in our school. We could collect school supplies, clothes, and books regularly and send them to the children in need. Some students also proposed organizing more volunteer teaching activities during holidays.

I fully supported these ideas and decided to take an active part in them. This meeting made me understand that there are many ways we can help through Project Hope. I’m ready to contribute more time and energy to this great cause and bring more hope to those children.

  希望工程英語日記 11

Today, I helped design a new fundraising plan for Project Hope with my classmates. It was a creative and challenging task.

We first discussed the goals of the plan. We wanted to raise more money and also attract more people to pay attention to Project Hope. Then, we brainstormed different ideas. One classmate suggested holding a charity concert, where students could perform and the tickets’ income would go to Project Hope. Another proposed an online auction, selling second - hand items donated by students and teachers.

I came up with the idea of a “Hope - themed” handicraft sale. We could make handicrafts like paper - cuttings, handmade cards, and clay sculptures, and then sell them. We believed these unique handicrafts would attract many buyers.

After deciding on the activities, we made a detailed schedule and divided the work. Some of us were responsible for making posters and invitations, some for preparing the items, and others for promoting the activities.

Although we still have a lot of work to do, I’m very excited about this plan. I hope our fundraising activities can be successful and raise a large amount of money for Project Hope. I believe that with our efforts, more children will get the chance to pursue their dreams.
