　　“叮零零”一陣悅耳的上課鈴聲剛剛響起，同學們就迫不及待的跑進教室。因為今天下午這第二節課，我們班上要舉行“元旦聯歡會”。

　　在大家期盼的目光中，徐老師快步走上講臺，宣布“元旦聯歡會”正式開始。第一個項目——成語賽場。我們全班分成兩組，學號是單數的為一組，叫“新年隊”;學號是雙數的為一組，叫“快樂隊”。兩個組輪流說出帶“新”字的成語，以畫正的方式記錄。答出一個記一筆，一筆算十分。比賽結束，哪組得的分多，在這一項比賽中，就獲勝。

　　比賽終于開始了，同學們個個磨拳擦掌，躍躍欲試，準備好好表現一下。先是我們這組回答，我們這組順利地回答完了，另一組的同學也爭先恐后地把想好的成語說出來，“日新月異、萬象更新、推陳出新、喜新厭舊……”就這樣我們兩組展開了激烈的角逐。到比賽接近尾聲的時候，能想到的成語幾乎都說了個遍。輪到我們這組回答時，大家都抓耳撓腮，搜腸刮肚地想，拼命地找資料，個個小臉漲得通紅。我也不例外，絞盡腦汁，在腦海中搜索帶“新”字的成語。突然，我眼前一亮，想到了一個成語，“吸新吐故”。“嘻嘻”，我興奮極了，立刻把手舉得高高的。老師叫我回答，我脫口而出：“吸新吐故”。老師微笑著說：“回答正確。”并給我們組加了一筆。這時“快樂隊”個個垂頭喪氣，有的“唉”地嘆了口氣，有的說了一句：“又被說了。”……最后，比賽結束了，我們組得到了210分，而對方只得到了190分。我們組以20分暫時領先。
