　　Learning English takes time so if we want to learn it well, we should spend much time practicing using English every day. Besides, we should listen to the teacher and take notes carefully in class. Go over what is learnt regularly and finish doing our homework carefully. If we have time,we'd better isten to English radio programmes, read English stories and newspapers, watch English films and TV programmes ,keep a diary in English . If we make mistakes, correct them at once and try not to make the same mistakes. What's more, we should look up new words in the dictionary before class and prepare each lesson carefully before class. I believe if we work hard and have good ways of learning English, we will learn English well.

　　學英語是要花費時間的，因此我們要花大量的時間每天練習使用英語。而且我們應該上課認真聽講、記筆記、經常復習我們所學的、認真完成作業。如果我們有時間，最好聽英語廣播、讀英語故事和報紙、看英語電影和電視節目、用英語記日記。如果我們出錯了，就要馬上更改并盡力別再犯同樣的錯誤。并且我們在課前要查字典認真預習。我相信如果我們努力學習并且有好的學英語方法，我們一定會學好英語的。

　　A great change has taken place in my hometown.Many years ago,my hometown was very small.But now it is bigger and bigger.The school is newer.And there is more and more books in our library. There are more cars on the road.And the street is wider than before.There used to be too much rubbish in the corner.But now it is cleaner and cleaner.I hope my hometown will be better and better.And I will try my best to make my dream come true.

　　我的家鄉發生了很大的變化。多年前,我的家鄉很小。但現在越來越大。學校越來越新。我們圖書館里的書越來越多。我們那里有更多的小汽車在路上。街道比以前更寬了。曾經有太多的垃圾在角落里。但現在干凈多了。我希望我的家鄉將變得越來越好。我將盡我所能讓我的夢想成真。

　　All the students have mobile phones now. So there are two opinions about mobile phones.Some people think that mobile phones are useful and convenient.If someone has something wrong, he can call others for help in time.But others are agaist this.They think some students use mobile phones for ill purposes.The students can send short messages in the class and miss listening to the teachers.Some students even play games with mobile phones and stop studying.As far as I know,students should not own mobile phones. Because it is not necessary for them to study.

　　My Desk-mate

　　Jenny is my desk-mate. She is a hard-working girl. When she was twelve years old, she won the first in a city-wide poetry recitation contest. Now she is chairman of the Student Union in our school. She gives us the impression that her ability to express her ideas is excellent. In spare time, she likes to carry a book .with her and writes down what she sees and hears. She's such a lovely girl that I enjoy talking with her to share her ideas

　　1. I earnestly hope to lead a healthy and prosperous life in the future. Judging from my aptitude inclination and personality streaks, my ideal life will be that of a scientist, researching, lecturing, and writing books. As I am from a farming family, I particularly enjoy being close to earth. If I can afford to live a pastoral life in the countryside, I will feel most blessed. As far as social life is concerned, simplicity is what I intend to pursue, so I really don't need too many friends. All these will be mere talk if I am idle now. To attain my goal, I must make a point of training my body and mind. This is a highly competitive society in which everyone is eager to come out on top. That is not only a competition of physical strength and mental power, but a marathon of patience, faith, and perseverance. Life is not all roses, but with what I am being equipped with by the top teachers in this elite school, I surely deserve a promising prospect.

　　我懇切地希望將來能過著健康而順遂的一生。從我的能力傾向及人格特質來判斷，我理想的生活方式將是擔任一名科學家，從事研究講學以及著作。由于我來自農家，尤其喜歡親近土地。如果我有經濟能力在鄉下過著田園生活，我會深感福佑。至于社交生活，「單純」是我所要追求的，所以我確實不需要太多的朋友。如果我現在懶散，這一切都將流于空談;要達成目標，我必須重視鍛煉自己的身心。這是一個高度競爭的社會，人人都渴望拔得頭籌。那不但是一場體力和腦力的競爭，也是耐心、信心和毅力的馬拉松。人生并不全是美好的事，但以我目前得自這所精英聚集的學校的頂尖老師所施的教化，我必定有個光明的前程。
