　　三年級時，我開始學英語，已經五十一歲的媽媽竟嚷著要陪我一起學。我百思不得其解，笑她道：“老來學皮匠，難道您想到外交部當翻譯？”媽媽笑而不語。

　　此后，每當我讀英語時，媽媽都會認真地跟著我讀。最初，媽媽常常是嘴巴張著，卻沒聲音;或是臉憋得通紅，就是發不準音。每次看到媽媽“為難”的樣子，我都故意讀得很快，一看她跟不上，我便哈哈大笑。可沒過多久，媽媽的英語水平一下子提高了，不僅發音標準，還能指出我的發音錯誤！

　　咦？咋回事？媽媽是怎么做到的呢？我很納悶。疑團終于揭曉了——

　　那天晚上，我洗漱完準備睡覺，突然聽到客廳有人在用英語唱《生日快樂歌》，難道爸爸媽媽趁我睡覺了偷偷慶祝生日？我悄悄地起床，溜到門邊，將門拉開一條縫往外看，原來是媽媽在唱歌。只見她左手拿著我的英語書，右手指著單詞，嘴巴做出各種夸張的形狀，一遍一遍地跟著手機里的錄音唱。原來媽媽在偷偷學英語呢！看到這一幕，我心里酸酸的，我不應該瞧不起媽媽，更不應該捉弄媽媽。媽媽真的很勤奮，怪不得她進步那么快、那么大！

　　看著媽媽認真學習的樣子，我慚愧地低下了頭，也明白了她的良苦用心。小時候的'她幾乎沒上過英語課，可她怕我剛接觸英語跟不上，竟然選擇了陪我學英語的“笨”辦法。

　　最好的愛便是陪伴，有這樣的媽媽，我發自內心的感激和驕傲！
