“鑄劍為犁”雕像之感想
何時鑄劍為犁？就是說全世界到什么時候可以真正實現(xiàn)消滅戰(zhàn)爭出現(xiàn)永久的和平？

第二次世界的大戰(zhàn)結(jié)束后，世界出現(xiàn)了和平景象，人們從戰(zhàn)爭的苦難中進(jìn)入了和平時期，深感和平來之不易，世界各國人民都深切希望今后再也不要有戰(zhàn)爭出現(xiàn)，因此1949年4月20日世界保衛(wèi)和平大會第一次會議開幕，第一次大會于1949年4月20日至25日在巴黎和布拉格同時舉行。

The second time after the war, the cold war rose, threatening the peaceful life of the residents. A number of international organizations and famous people have initiated the convening of the World Conference for the defence of peace to oppose aggression and war policies and call for the unconditional prohibition of atomic weapons and weapons of mass destruction. The General Assembly adopted more than 10 documents, such as the declaration of the World Conference for the protection of peace and the declaration to the world's people, and elected a standing committee.

This is Picasso's third picture of the dove of peace. 為了紀(jì)念第一次世界和平大會的召開，蘇聯(lián)的雕塑家葉夫根尼·武切季奇創(chuàng)作了一尊“鑄劍為犁”的青銅雕像，雕塑中的青年人一手拿著錘子，另一只手拿著要改鑄為犁的劍，象征著人類要求消滅戰(zhàn)爭，把毀滅人類的武器變?yōu)閯?chuàng)造的工具，以造福全人類。這座青銅雕像于1959年由當(dāng)時的蘇聯(lián)政府贈送給聯(lián)合國留作永久的紀(jì)念，至今仍然擺放在聯(lián)合國花園內(nèi)與其他國家贈送給聯(lián)合國的雕塑裝點著聯(lián)合國大廈前的廣場花園。
In order to commemorate the convening of the first world peace conference, the Soviet sculptor Yevgeny wuchedzic created a bronze statue of "casting a sword into a plow". The young people in the sculpture held a hammer in one hand and a sword to be converted into a plow in the other hand, symbolizing the human demand for the elimination of war and the transformation of weapons of destruction into tools of creation for the benefit of all mankind. The bronze statue was presented to the United Nations by the Soviet government in 1959 as a permanent memorial. It is still placed in the United Nations garden and decorated with the square garden in front of the United Nations building.
此外中國也有成語“鑄劍為犁”銷熔武器以制造務(wù)農(nóng)器具。可參閱《孔子家語·致思》（偽書）：“鑄劍習(xí)以為農(nóng)器，放牛馬于原藪，室家無離曠之思，千歲無戰(zhàn)斗之患。”
In addition, China also has the idiom "casting a sword as a plow" to sell and melt weapons to make farming tools.
