　　Nowadays, it is not rare to see people displaying their wealth on the Internet. Some post pictures of luxury goods, such as brand clothes and bags, luxurious automobiles or jewelries. Some write about their experiences in which a lot of money is spent.

　　People have different responses to this phenomenon. Some say that it is people’s right to share their possessions or experiences with others on the Internet, as

　　long as the things are legal and the experiences real. However, some criticize that the rich people are too arrogant. What’s worse, there are also a few who are not actually rich but put fake photos only to satisfy their vanity.

　　In my opinion, sharing is a good thing, and it is exactly the spirit of the Internet. But people should make careful choice on what they are sharing. After all,showing off is not very nice, not to mention faking.

　　They think they will be looked down upon if they don't do that.

　　The "Eat Up All on the Plates" campaign is intended to reduce the waste and raise people's awareness.

　　As middle school students we should do our bit to say "No" to food waste and try to develop the habit of never ordering or cooking more than what we need so as to save our limited food resources on which we depend for a better life.

　　Language Laboratories Should Be Used Effectively

　　The chief drawback (缺陷) of oral interview tests (口試) is the time which is needed. Each student must be tested individually (個別地),and even a short test which takes only five or 10 minutes becomes very time-consuming (費時的) when given separately to 30 students.

　　The use of a language makes it possible to give oral tests to a large number of students in a short time. But it would be foolish to claim (聲稱) that a speaking test using pre-recorded (事先錄音的`)material could ever be superior (優于) to a genuine (真正的) face-to-face interview.

　　Nevertheless,for certain limited purposes,a language laboratory can offer a means of encouraging students to speak English and to become accustomed to responding (回答) various questions which may possibly arise (出現) in real life.

　　Examples will be given in this section of the types of oral exercises and activities for use in the language laboratory.
