　　this project is necessary to our country. it is an urgent measure that the government has taken. in the first place, this project will give the youngsters a chance to go back to school, which will contribute to their future success. secondly, when people have acquired knowledge, they may use it in the construction of their homeland. hence, this project benefits the modernization of our country a lot. therefore, it may indirectly result in rising the living standards of our people.

　　最近社會刮起了一陣英語風，我那60多了的奶奶想一想，感覺自己落伍了。于是纏著我教她英語。面對一個‘毫無基礎’的學生，我為師有一百個不愿意。但我看奶奶那么誠懇，便答應了奶奶。

　　初次上課，我翻出一堆英語字母卡片，來到客廳。此時奶奶已經搬上小板凳，端端正正地坐著，兩只眼睛有神的看著小黑板。我拿出字母A，大聲念道A—，奶奶也專注地念道哎—，我一聽，笑得前俯后仰，連忙糾正，經過幾個來回，奶奶終于會讀第一個字母A了，她高興得像個小孩手舞足蹈。之后，經過我九牛二虎之力和孜孜不倦地教導，以及奶奶認真的那股鉆勁，折騰幾番后，奶奶終于學會了幾個基本的字母。而我呢，早已教的筋疲力盡，口干舌燥了，匆匆甩下抄寫的.作業，就逃之夭夭了。

　　經過三四天，奶奶竟然一口氣把英語字母學完了，在我們驚嘆之余，也由衷地打心底佩服奶奶那股不可估量的專心勁和驚人的毅力。當然也有我小老師教得好的份喲！奶奶也喜笑顏開，對自己學習成就頗有滿意。

　　本想解放幾天，可沒過幾天，奶奶的英語熱又來了。這不，直嚷著讓我教她英語單詞。看著奶奶的信心已決，我又只好再次上崗。我從簡單的音標開始教起。起初，奶奶對那些鬼畫符似的音標記得直跺腳。后來，慢慢的，奶奶發現音標其實很有趣，很好記，便跟著我耐心地學起來。一天，兩天，很快，奶奶掌握了元音音標，輔音音標，讓我們不禁拍手叫好！

　　學習完音標，學起單詞就輕而易舉了。我拿起課本，奶奶看著音標，嘗試著拼出了單詞。當然不會的部分，奶奶便向我請教。這樣細細琢磨，奶奶終于學會了英語！奶奶笑得眼睛瞇成一條縫，臉上皺紋舒展開了，人仿佛年輕了好幾歲。回想起來，奶奶學英語也不容易，從一遍一遍地聽，一遍一遍的讀，到費盡心思地記，地寫，奶奶流下了不少汗。這也應該是一分耕耘一分收獲吧！

　　從此，奶奶時不時用英語與我們對話，家里添了不少歡笑，不少氣氛。奶奶也從學英語中悟出了一些道理，她常告誡我：甘卜丹啊，少壯不努力，老大徒傷悲呀，現在要趁早好好學習，老了學習起來真的難呀！當然，俗話說得好：世上無難事，只怕有心人，成功是留給努力的人的！每當我細細品味這些話語時，總能品味出一些不一樣的的道理。這些道理會使我一生受益！
