Dear Mary,
I have been living in Beijing for some time now and I find it very interesting here.
There are so many similarities between Beijing and London. They are both the capital of the country and are both very important cities. Both places have huge populations. They are both the economical, political and cultural center. They both have many historical and cultrual
I also found many differences in the two cities. In London we drive on the left side of the road, while in Beijing they drive on the right side. Most people in London go to work via public transportation, here in Beijing most people rides bycicles. In London the weather is always cloudy, here in Beijing most the the time it's sunny. And in London most student don't spend their time efficiently, but here in Beijing many people speak English cause they study hard.

The third time he was turned down， he couldn’t help telephoning the pany to ask why they didn’t want him。 The answer was simple， “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany。”
What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is， shortly aften he arrived in Germany， this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets。 So， to save money， he often went without a ticket。 As a result， he had been caught without a ticket in the subway three times。
From this story， we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means， but the truth will e out sooner or later and the cost is high。 So remember: honest is the best policy。

As for me, I can’t agree with this argument. Good appearance is pleasant, but capability is more important, because it demonstrates one’s self-cultivation and practical values. It shows the efforts and the glory of acquiring something through one’s hard work, whereas good looks bespeak no struggle of the individual. Besides, maybe sometimes a beautiful face can help a girl acquire a good position, but in the long run it is her talent not her look that really works in her career development.
Therefore, those without good appearance needn’t feel depressed because one’s success depends on his capability; those with good appearance have to work hard since good appearance cannot bring a person final success.
