　　The way to world’s future-low carbon life “l(fā)ow-carbon” is one of the mostpopular buzz-words in this year. Not only China but all countries focus on thetopic of “l(fā)ow-carbon”.

　　Here, I’d like to share my own experience abroad with you. Several years ago,I was very lucky to have an opportunity to live in the Australia about half amonth. During that time, Not only did I enjoy the beautiful natural scenerythere, but also I appreciated the people’s active way of protecting theirenvironment. Now, whenever the environment protection is mentioned, thebeautiful scenery of Australia will arise in my mind, white clouds flying acrossthe blue sky, green grassplot sprinkled with colorful flowers and lovelysquirrels playing happily among the trees.

　　As a citizen of China, if everyone can actively protect the environment inour daily life and if we would like to reduce our carbon footprint, the sceneryof blue sky, green grass and lovely animals in Australia will appear in China,even in HeFei. But I totally support the view, that is to say, Emotion withoutaction is irrelevant! Do you unplug electronics after you use them? Do youswitch off everything before you go to sleep? Do you adjust your TV screen a bitdimmer to save energy? Do you re-use water for different activities around thehouse? Each of these seemingly insignificant adjustments in your daily life canmake a difference in saving the environment of tomorrow.

　　We all know that nothing is more comfortable than sitting in the warmth of ahearted car while it’s snowing and hailing outside in the freezing cold…But withglobal warming and even global cooling becoming more pressing by the day, not tomention your own health, take a walk ,ride a bike ,reduce your carbon footprinton the environment .It is said that tiny streams can be combined into a vastocean, small trees can be an immense forest, and every little makes amickle.

　　For our students， marks is above everything. Teachers will judge us from ourmarks. With marks we can be enrolled into junior middle schools. We like them and we feel sorryfor them. But what attitude towards our marks should we take?

　　Truly， marks functions cannot be underestimated. In terms of test in ourstudy， marks are fair and real. That is the reason why we say "Everyone is equalbefore marks. "

　　However， I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failureof students in exams. Sometimes， marks more than ten or less than one or two inour exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure inexams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s healthetc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. " Success or failure is commonsense for military. " I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. Don’tyou think such will be the case with our study? In exams， one cannot be "never-defeated general" . But his teaching result is much lessthan that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. Whenlecturing， the teacher only repeated what the text-books says， which was verydull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching wasshort of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we knowa few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. Thereason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from bookswith pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in everyexam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’tyou think it waste training such persons for the country?

　　To sum up from the above， I can say marks are not absolutely authoritativefor some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability andcompetence and if we only seek for the high marks， we will be absolutely wrong.We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should weneglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.
