If we can speak English.well，we will have more chance tosucceed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it，the number of thepeople who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.

　　But for myself，I learn English not only because of its importance and itsusefulness，but also because of my love for it.When I learn English，I can feel adifferent way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When Iread English novels，I can feel the pleasure from the book which is differentfrom reading the translation.When I speak English，I can feel the confident frommy words.When I write English，I can see the beauty which is not the same as ourChines.

　　I love English，it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around theworld one day. With my good English，I can make friends with many people fromdifferent contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can goto London，because it is the birth place of English.

We complain about how fragile our friendship is，howlittle people know about us，how unfair the life is，etc. It seems that everytime we fail，we blame it to the tough conditions we’re in，while never notice aproblem inside ourselves，that we’re never satisfied.

　　Let’s just imagine that there was an old lady. What she sees was herneighbors’ being mean again while not how kind they were when they took care ofher sick body. What she saw was her dog’s annoying barking while not how muchloyalty it had shown.What she saw was always so depressing that it finallyturned her into an unpleasant person. Think about how our life would be if westand in her shoe.

　　Why don’t we focus our attention on how much we’ve already got in stead?You know it’s really simple to do as there’s a tremendous amount of examples.Like the popular Jetpack Joy Ride on your Iphone，you can enjoy it whenever youlike，whereas in some poor area people don’t even know such thing as Iphone.

　　Actually we should be thankful about the richness we’ve got，thankful thatwith each sunrise taking place we don’t need to starve to call it a day，thankful that the people we love are still in health，that we still got much tohold on. As a saying on website，” The world is tough，but I’m tougher.” Whatdoesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

　　Every day is a gift from life，all we need is to accept it，cherish thelessons life has taught us，so as to achieve our goal with high spirit. In thisway，someday when we leave the world，we leave no regrets.

　　Needless to say，one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the20xx Olympic Games. Till now，we have used two sevenths of the preparation time.How much changes have you seen? New roads，new subway lines，public-exercisingequipments with beautiful colors，large blocks of grass fields，and also lots ofmodern gyms which are under construction.

　　Other than those，there are even more good effects brought to us by theOlympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example，more and more peoplewill get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attractthem strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment，for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness ofenvironmental protection is being strengthened. What is more，Olympic Games givea unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youthwith the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so manyadvances，could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

　　I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyoneshould use some time to think of this question，”Does the Olympic Games have anyspecial meaning to you?”

　　For us，I mean the Chinese youth，20xx Olympic Games is a tremendous gift.Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying thelove given to us .The society is just like a ship，and in our dreams the captainis waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charminghis voice is，but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning，however，when we wake up，we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. Afterchewing，most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the OlympicGames. And mine is to be a “forter” ----that is someone who will give fort toothers.

While witnessing the dramatic changes in the better-off society，peoplebegin to reconsider the question of "survival". "Survival" in the old sense doesnot bother us anymore. 　　Competition always carries abreast challenges and opportunities to everyoneinvolved. It might appear in an entrance exam，in a regular class，or in a smallpublic speech. Those who fail to detect its real nature-whether an opportunityor a challenge a petition really is- will lose something more or less conduciveto our growth. Of course，if we take the petition as an opportunity，we willfavor it intentionally because they can help us outstand from the average; theywill make us bee the focus of public attention; they will grant us more chancesand rights to succeed. As a matter of fact，opportunities are supposed to bemore perceptible and weling than challenges. The truth is，however，we will losemore opportunities when we choose to take the "opportunity" fork at thecrossroads. The other fork，ignored by us and defined as "fearful challenges"，offers much more chances for the walker in petition.

　　We have such an inclination in life to overestimate ourselves and hold athoughtless attitude towards the negative outlook of things.

　　We believe in the old saying，"Opportunity knocks but just once，" so wealways wele it and devote all our spirit and efforts to it. The most devoutbeliever of this saying are the graduates. Why? There are quite a number of themwho pay full attention to positions in big cities and are willing to flood intodeveloped areas under any circumstances，even though there will be too muchuncertainty for their choices. Innumerable cases go straight to the samemiserable end: God seems to refuse to help too many of His worshipers.

　　In conclusion，to define the quuality of petition seems to be far fromvaluable sense，for no matter what a petition is，an opportunity or a challenge，it will create nutritious elements for our growth.

　　So take a positive look at everything around. Keep our face to thesunshine，and we will not see the shadows.
