　　In the State of Zheng. There was a man who wanted to go into town to buy apair of new shoes.

　　Before leaving home, he measured his foot with a piece of straw for size.After he arrived at the town and entered a shoe shop, he put his hand into hispocket only to find that in his haste he had left the measurement at home.Thereupon, he turned round and started for home. But when he rushed back to theshoeshop with the measurement, the shop had closed. As a result, he had suanwenwbusied himself for nothing.

　　Later, someone asked him:” Were you buying shoes for yourself or forothers? ”

　　He answered:” For myself.”

　　Someone else asked him:” Don’t you have your feet on yourself? You needonly to Try on shoes with your feet to get the right size. Why did you go backhome to fetch the measurement? “

　　The man of Zheng insisted:” I would rather trust the measurement than myown feet.”

　　So my dear friends, never complain that life is boring and the world isdisappointing. If don’t like the taste of your life, change the ingredients.

　　Three year ago, I weighed more than 100 hundred kilograms which causedsignificant embarrassment and frustration in my life. Like always failing my P.Eexaminations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified tospeak in public. It was my grandmother’s encouragement that revived from mypassive attitude to become confident in myself. She said “ My dear, if you can’tchange you figure, why not treat it as your own style. So I began to cautiouslyemploy the new way of thinking. By choosing to change my outlook on life, Ideveloped the confidence to make a difference and finally I found a totally newworld.

　　So my dear friend, if faith, hope, love, endurance are added to your life,you will find the confidence to conquer your limitation and embrace newchallenges. And hopefully with my speech included, you will have a fantasticspeech contest.

　　when i was seven, i started learning english. i played games and sangenglish songs with other children. sometimes, i watched english cartoons. it'sfunny. then i discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dreamin the english world.

　　i hope i can travel around the world someday. i want to go to america tovisit washington, because my cousin is over there. of course, i want to go tolondon too, because england is where english language developed. if i can ridemy bike in cambridge university, i will be very happy.

　　i hope i can speak english with everyone in the world. also i'll introducechina to them, such as the great wall, and the gardens in suzhou. i willteaching people of the world about the beautiful language of our country.

　　i like the english language. to learn english is wonderful. i once wantedto be an english teacher . i also like chinese literature. when i was reallyyoung, i was able to remember lots of poems. i also wanted to be a teacher ofchinese. now i think that both of my dreams can come true: i will be able to useenglish to teach foreign friends chinese and share chinese culture with them. sothat more and more people will be able to get to know the 5000 years' historyculture, and the prosperity of our great china.

　　大家好！

　　兩年前，我從xx英語教育院校畢業，躊躇滿志地從大學校門里走出來，滿懷信心地踏進了這滿是孩子們的天堂。在我開始接任四年級二班的英語教程那一刻，我的心情忐忑不安，不知能否把課上好，當我真正走上工作崗位，走上四二班教室的講臺時，面對一個個鮮活可愛的面孔，面對一雙雙求知的眼睛，我總是一次次默默的`告訴自己，要努力，要加油，要成為深受學生歡迎的好老師。

　　有人說兒童是一本書雖然要讀懂這本書并非易事，但要成為一位出色的教師就必須去讀它，有人說，兒童是花木，教師是園丁，園丁悉心照料著花木，但需要尊重它們自然地成長。實際上，兒童比花木要復雜的多，教師的工作比園丁的工作也復雜的多，盡管他們擁有著共同或共通的規律。法國文學家雨果在他的詩里曾經寫到：“花是尊貴的，果實是甜美的，讓我們都來做葉吧，因為葉，是平凡而謙遜的。”我覺得這首詩就是為教師寫的，因為教師就像那默默奉獻的綠葉，時時刻刻襯托著鮮花的嬌艷。今天，在慶祝教師節的日子里，我榮幸地站上這方講臺，誦讀這樣意味深長的詩句，即將開始我至真至誠的講述，我心中無比激動，也感到萬分的驕傲自豪。

　　時光匆匆，轉眼間我已走過了四年的從教生涯。雖然在大家看來這段時間有些短暫。但細數往昔歲月的點點滴滴，我還是要長嘆：生活原來給了我們那么多感動。為了這真情付出后得到的感動，我一直在追求著。剛剛參加工作時，信心百倍。記得第一次以教師的身份走進課堂，感覺一切都是那樣美好。然而，醉酒方知酒味濃，為師才知為師難。一段時間之后，我先前良好的自我感覺早就一掃而空，面對一群求知欲渴的孩子們，我才真正意識到教師職業是何等的艱辛和瑣碎，三尺講臺站上去容易，要站好可真難啊！

　　每個人都希望自己的人生風和日麗，鶯歌燕舞。但月有陰晴圓缺，人有旦夕禍福，挫折和失敗總是不斷地踩痛我們的心。我們是把失意的怨氣撒在孩子身上，還是收起此時內心的苦楚用微笑面對純真可愛的孩子？我想沒有人愿意選擇前者，因為你的心中有愛！魯迅先生有句話“教育是植根與愛的”。是的，愛是教育的源泉，教師有了愛，才會用伯樂的眼光去發現孩子們的閃光點，才會對自己的教育對象充滿了信心和愛心，才會有追求卓越的精神和創新的精神。

　　今天，我是一名小學英語教師，愛我的學生，我會像母親一樣無私和不求索取；愛我的學生，我會像手足一樣把心和他們貼得更近；愛我的學生，我會像朋友一樣與他們風雨同舟；愛我的學生，我會不溺愛不袒護，在他們跌倒時，鼓勵他們勇敢的站起來！我相信“人民教師”這光榮而神圣的稱謂，它總能讓我擁有無窮的力量。

　　We have only one earth.But now,the environment becomes worse and worse.Asyou know,there's no enough clean water for people.So many of them lose theirlives because of water.In a lot of countries,people have to cut trees forliving.So there's nothing to keep water from running away.Also we have pollutedthe land,the river and the air.Some people may say:we are the masters ofnature.Now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyondhis control.

　　the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for somecreatures including human beings.Facing all the disasters made by ourselves,wehave the responsibility to deal with the problem.

　　we must do something useful to protect our environment.We can plant treesand take good care of them.We can save the water and ask our parents to do so.Wecan't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them forrecycling.If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautifultomorrow.
