　　Bring it closer so that I may see it better. 把它拿近點兒，讓我仔細看看。

　　He studies hard so that he can pass the exam. 為了能通過考試，他學習很努。

　　I am going to the lecture early so that I’ll get a good seat. 我想早點去聽演講，以便找個好座位。

　　She worked hard so that everything would be ready by 6 o’clock. 她拼命干以便能到6點時把一切都準備好。

　　(2)引導結果狀語從句（前面有時可以用逗號）

　　We’re all here now, so that the meeting can begin at last. 我們現在都到齊了，終于能開會了。

　　I went to the lecture early so that I got a good seat. 我去聽演講去得很早，所以找個好座位。

　　Nothing more was heard from him so that we begun to wonder if he was dead. 再也沒有聽到他的消息，因此我們有些懷疑他們是否死了。
