Give eco-tourism the go-ahead

④ build側重于“修建”的過程。例如：
They have built / set up another space station. 他們又建了一個太空站。

2. This centre was set up in 1996 and is stocked with modern technical equipment and computers for environment research.（page 35）
(1) stock的用法
① stock 用作動詞，意為“儲備”；“保持……的供應”。例如：
This store stocks all types of toys. 這家商店儲備各種類型的玩具。
They do not stock flowers, only fruit. 他們不儲存鮮花，只儲存水果。
They used the house to store the building materials. 他們用那座房子來儲藏建筑材料。
② be stocked with 儲備了……
His head is well stocked with ideas. 他的頭腦里主意很多。
The pond is well stocked with fish. 池塘里有很多魚。
(2) equipment指“設備”時是不可數名詞。例如：
This factory has imported a piece of equipment this year. 這家工廠今年進口了一臺設備。
The complete equipment of the new hospital will take a year.
這個新醫院完全裝備起來要花費一年時間。
3. There are also things that can be done at a national or international level, such as sharing information and solutions between countries and using satellites to pick out areas likely to be affected by desertification.（page 35）
(1) at a…level “在……層次上、在……水平上”
The talks took place at a high level. 那些談判是高級別的。
The whole class is at a third grade math level. 整個班級處于三年級數學的水平。
(2) pick out “挑選、分辨出”。例如：
They have picked out the best items on the menu. 他們從菜單上選出最好的菜。
Let’s pick out the bad potatoes from the basket. 讓我們把壞掉的土豆從籃子里挑出來。
There were so many people at the conference that I couldn’t pick him out.
參加會議的人太多了, 我沒法認出他。
He picked out a friend’s face in the crowd. 他在人群中認出了一位朋友的臉。
(3) to be affected by… 是不定式的被動語態，表示不定式的邏輯主語與不定式所表動作構成被動關系。又如：
It is an honor for me to be asked to speak here. 我很榮幸應邀在這里講話。
Many university students asked to be sent to work in the west of the country.
許多大學生請求被派去西部工作。
