教材分析
世界環境問題(environment)是當今社會的一個熱門話題。一個好的環境對國家、集體、乃至個人的發展都是至關重要的。那么人類該怎樣對待所面臨的環境問題?比如說，廢物(waste)的處理；人類對動物的態度。以及環境問題產生的原因(causes)以及造成的后果(effects)會對人類產生哪些影響。本單元通過討論“Wildlife endangerment”來引入社會的環境保護問題，以及“How to protect the environment”。從而增強人們的環境意識，愛護我們的地球村(Earth Village)。ァ
教學目標
功能目標：學會如何表達原因和結果。學會如何表達處理問題的方法。
文化目標：通過學習提高對環境的保護意識，從自身做起愛護環境。

導入
模塊一：圖片展示導入
教師給學生展示一些稀有動物的圖片，讓學生說出它們的名稱，從而導入主要課題“Protect the Animals”.

模塊二：問題導入
教師提出問題“是否愛吃肉”，從而導入本單元主題保護動物。
