一、教法建議

【拋磚引玉】

　　1．教學有關談論學習（Talking about studies）的用語

　　本單元教學了What does…mean? What do you mean by…? Will you please say it again more slowly? I find it very difficult. 有關學習的日常交際用語。教材提供了運用這些

　　用語的情景。要使學生掌握這些用語，最有效的方法莫過于課堂教學中的實際應用。

　　實際上，這也是一種啟發學生積極思考，引導他們英語思維的過程。適時鼓勵學生

　　創造性發問，是素質教育的要求。

　　2．教學表示同意和不同意（Expressing agreement and disagreement）的用語本單元通過談論學習，表達個人意見──難易、興趣等等（同意或不同意）。但在教課時，應創造性地引入不同的語言情境。如：四季（Four seasons）、運動（Sports）、飲食（Food）、服飾（Clothing）等等，調動全體學習的言語興趣，發散思維開闊思路，使語言真正用于交際。

　

【指點迷津】

　　本單元的難點是句型as…as, not as (so) …as的教學

　　對于這種句型的教授最好采用比較法──實物比較、人物比較和幻燈（或圖片）比較。這些靈活多樣的大量實踐，可以激發學生思維興趣，使他們集中地迅速掌握新句型。如用圖片顯示三個編號不同的教室，其中兩間一樣大，一間稍小一點，進行比較，演示下面的句子：

　　No. 1 Classroom is as big as No. 2.

　　No. 3 Classroom isn‘t as big as the other two.

　　幾組演示后，幫助學生分析出：表示甲和乙在某一方面程度相同時，用as…as；表示甲在某一方面不及乙時，用not as…as或not so…as。這里的形容詞或副詞都有原級，不用比較級。

　

二、學法導航

【學法指要】

　　本單元的重點和難點在于句型as…as; not as (so) …as（以及與比較相關的句型和若干詞及交際語言的用法）。

　　1．Beijing is 　　in the world.

　　【提示】答案B。本題考查兩點：1. one of…譯作"其中之一"，介詞of后面所跟的名詞必須用復數形式(即整體之中的一個)。2."the+最高級"表示"最……"(副詞前the可省略)。綜合兩者，"最大的城市之一"應選擇B。

　　

　　2．Our classroom is 　　as yours.

　　【提示】答案：D。本題強化句型：甲與乙在某一程度上相同用"as+形容詞或副詞的原形+as"。另外，本題不是否定句，因此不能用"so"。所以應選B。

　

　　3．I think Chinese is more popular than 　　.

　　【提示】答案C。本題重點在于結構："any other+復數名詞"表示同一類物體或人的

其它任何一個；"any of the other+復數句詞"表示同一類物體或人，除提到的一個外，

所有剩下的其中之一。因而選擇C。

　　【提示】答案A。本題測試表示委婉請示的句型：Will / Would you please (not) do…?

（否定句在please后直接加not）因而選A。

　　【提示】答案A。本題根據后一句的暗示可知，Lin Tao沒有與大家一同去動物園，所以，B和C無法選擇。而except是"除……之外"（不再有，不算在內）的意思；besides有"除……之外"（還有，算在整體內）之意。所以，據題意，應選A。

　

【妙文賞析】

　　一篇好的文章不僅是汲取知識的土壤，更會給人以理性的啟示。請欣賞下面的文章：閱讀理解，正（T）誤（F）。

　　One day a rich man met Sam. The rich man asked, "I hear you are very clever and nothing is difficult to you. Can you tell me why you are so clever?"

　　Sam answered with a smile, "Oh, I am not clever. Instead, you are too silly." "The rich man became very angry."

　　Sam said, "Master, please don‘t be angry. If you don’t believe what I said, now let me ask you a question. If you have a group of sheep, I sent you another group. Then, how many groups of sheep do you have?" "Alas!" "That‘s the easiest question in the world. One plus one is two. Anybody knows that. I have two groups of sheep."

Ⅰ．用所給詞的適當形式填空

　　1. We’ll go out if it is 　　tomorrow. (sun)

　　答案是：sunny。提干中，it is提示此處是"系表結構"，后面需要一個形容詞，因此將sun轉換成sunny，由名詞變成了形容詞。

　　2. My sister is feeling much 　　today. (bad)

　　答案是：worse。提干中much提示其后面需要比較級，同時feel是半系詞，需加形容詞作表語。因此，此處只需要bad的比較級worse.

　

Ⅱ．根據句意填空，一空一詞

　　答案是：twelfth. 提干中the和December (12) 提示我們使用12的序數詞或形容詞last。但由于本題數字概念比較明確，因此，twelfth這個答案最佳。

　　2. September 10th is 　　Day!

　　答案是：Teachers‘。提干中的日期提示，此處在考察節日的寫法──分別大寫這兩個詞的詞首。另外，教師節是所有老師的節日，所有使用s’，而不是‘s。
