Describe n action that you did earlier in the day and that took only a moment to do and tell what time it happened. For example, I ate and listened to the news at 7:00 this morning. Then ask students to tell what they were doing at that time using the words when and while. Help the students make the first few students make sentences like these: I was sleeping when he/she listen to the news. Or When he/she was listening t the radio, I was eating breakfast. Then describe similar actions at different times and ask students to make sentences using when and while.
