【基礎(chǔ)知識精講】

1.Write them down in the right box.在右邊方框中寫出來。

write down“寫下”,是粘接性不強的動詞詞組。這種詞組在英語中很多。如:pick up, turn on,take away等等。需要在學(xué)習(xí)過程中認(rèn)識。其后接賓語時須注意用法:

①接代詞,放在其中。如:write it down,take them away.

②接簡短名詞,放在其中或其后。如:write the name down/write down the name.Turn the radio on/Turn on the radio.

③接名詞短語時,放在其后。如:take away the broken baskets,get back those new pencils.

2.It lasts from May to July.它(夏天)從五月持續(xù)到七月。

(1)last“持續(xù)”動詞。last還可作形容詞“上一個,最近的”。如:last week,作名詞是“最后”的意思,如:at last。

(2)from…to…“從…到…”

3.What’s the weather like in spring in your hometown?

你家鄉(xiāng)春季天氣怎么樣?

What’s the weather like?(=How’s the weather?)表示“天氣怎么樣?”

4.The weather gets warmer.天氣變得更暖和了。

get在此處是連系動詞,意為“變得”。后文中,The trees turn green.樹變綠了,句中的turn也是連系動詞,意為“變得”、“轉(zhuǎn)變”。

5.We help them with the harvest.我們幫他們收獲(莊稼)。

help后可接下面不同用法,區(qū)別甚微。

①help sb. with sth.

②help sb. with doing sth. 幫助某人做某事

③help sb.(to)do sth.

6.I often go swimming.我通常去游泳。

go swimming意為“游泳”。英語中“從事某事情”常用 go + doing來表示,如:go shopping,go skating,go fishing,go boating,go climbing等。

7.We really enjoyed working on the farm.我真的喜歡在農(nóng)場干活。enjoy后接doing sth.或 sth.

8.The way you speak.你說話的方式。

The way he walks.他走路的方式(樣子)

9.But unlike much of China and the USA…,但與中國和美國大部分地區(qū)不同…

(1)unlike是由un + like構(gòu)成,前綴un-常表示相反含義,意思是“不像”,“與…不同”,介詞。如:happy-unhappy(不高興的)fair(公平的)一unfair(不公平的)

dislike是動詞like的反義詞“不喜歡”。dis-為其前綴,也表示否定。

(2)much of…“…中的多數(shù)”,如:much of Hubei湖北大部分地區(qū)

【重點難點解析】

1.Jim knows the way Australians speak,doesn’t he?吉姆知道澳大利亞人說話的方式,不是嗎?

這是一個反意疑問句,反意疑問句由兩個部分組成,前一部分是對事物的陳述,后一部分是簡短的提問。如果前一部分用肯定形式,后一部分一定用否定形式。相反亦然,兩部分的人稱和時態(tài)要求一致。如:

①It’s very cold today,isn’t it?

②Our teachers will visit that farm,won’t they?

③There was some grapes in the box,wasn’t there?

④The child never gets too late,does he/she?

2.You need to wear lots of warm clothes.你需要穿許多暖和衣服。

(1)need既可作情態(tài)動詞,又可作實義動詞。作情態(tài)動詞時,常用于否定句和疑問句中,后接動詞原形;作實義動詞時,其后可接名詞、代詞或不定式作賓語。如:

①The farmers needs some help.農(nóng)民需要一些幫助。

②I need to buy a new T一skirt.我需要一件新 T恤衫。

③I need you.我需要你們。

(2)lots of“許多”與 a lot of同義,既可修飾可數(shù)名詞,也可修飾不可數(shù)名詞,常用于肯定陳述句中。

3.let him guess.讓他猜。

guess為省to的動詞不定式。

在make,let,have,see,hear,watch,notice,feel等動詞后的復(fù)合賓語中,不定式都不帶to。

①I often hear them sing this song.我常聽到他們唱這支歌。

②Don’t make the child cry.不要使得這小孩哭叫。

4.You came at a bad time of year.你在一種最糟糕的時候來的。

(1)at用于表示某一具體時間或指某一時候。如: at seven,at this time of year.

(2)on用于表示具體某一天或某天的早、中、晚之類時間。如:on Sunday,on Tuesday morning,on the evening of January 1等。

(3)in用于早晨、上午、下午、夜晚、季節(jié)、月份、年之前。如:in the morning,in 1998,in May,in summer.

5.Autumn starts in August,and goes on to October.秋天八月份開始,持續(xù)到十月份。

go on表示“繼續(xù)”、“持續(xù)”意思,to是介詞。go on表示繼續(xù),有下面句型:

① go on with sth.“繼續(xù)干(同一件事)”。如:

let’s go on with lesson One.我們現(xiàn)在繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)第一課吧。(前面也是學(xué)習(xí)的第一課)

② go on doing stb.“繼續(xù)干(原來的事)”。如:After supper,they went on doing his homework.晚飯后,他繼續(xù)做作業(yè)。

③ go on to do sth.“繼續(xù)干(別的,另外的事)”。如:She finished her work,then went on to go shopping.她做完作業(yè)后,接著去購物。

6.I hope you are well.我希望你身體健康。

①well通常作副詞,表示“好”。

She sings very well.她歌唱得好。

②Well有時用作形容詞,表示“身體健康”。

You look well today.你今天看上去身體很好。
