1. Do you think there will be robots in people’s homes? 你認為在人們家里將會有機器人嗎？

(1)本句是一個含有賓語從句的復合句，省略了that, there will be robots in people’s homes 作think的賓語，為賓語從句。

Do you think the boy will buy a few new computer games?你認為這個男孩會買一些新電腦游戲嗎？

（2）從句there will be robots in people’s homes為there be 句型的一般將來時，其結構為“There + will be +主語+其他”，表示“將會有……”。

There won’t be any pollution some day.將來有一天會沒有污染。

（3）in people’s homes 意為“在人們家里”。

2. There will be more/less/fewer people.將會有更多/更少/更少的人。

本句中more, less和fewer都是形容詞的比較級。

（1）more的原級為many和much,意為“更多的”，多指數目、數量、程度等。more可以修飾可數名詞，也可以修飾不可數名詞。

I want more orange.我想要更多的橘子。

（2）less為little的比較級，是more的反義詞。less意為“較少的”，通常與不可數名詞連用。

We have less snow this year.我們（這里）今年雪比較少。

（3）fewer為few的比較級，與可數名詞連用，意為“較少的”。

I have fewer dresses and less money.我的衣服及金錢都比較少。

3. I’ll live in Shanghai, because I went to Shanghai last year and fell in love with it. 我將住在上海，因為去年我去了上海并且愛上了它。

(1)本句是一個含有because引導的原因狀語從句的復合句，而狀語從句則由and連接的并列分句組成。

(2)fall in love with…意為“愛上……”，指從沒有愛意到產生愛意的這一轉變，是非延續性動詞詞組，不可與how long 及for three years這類表示時間段的短語連用。fall in love with也可表示對某一事物的“喜歡”。

The prince fell in love with a fair maiden.王子愛上了一位美麗的少女。I fell in love with that soap opera.我喜歡上了那部肥皂劇。

【拓展】be in love with…意為“與……相愛著”，指處于戀愛這一狀態中，可以與一段時間連用。

Tom and Mary have been in love with each other for ten years.湯姆和瑪麗相愛已經十年了。

4. I might even keep a pet parrot! 我可能甚至會養一只寵物鸚鵡！

（1）might為情態動詞，為may的過去式形式，意為“可能，也許”，本身無人稱和數的變化，其后接動詞原形，用于一般現在時態時，同樣用以表示允許及可能性，但語氣較may更委婉、更弱一些。

（2）本句中的even用來加強語氣，修飾動詞keep。even常置于它要強調的詞語前面。

（3）keep a pet parrot意為“養一只寵物鸚鵡”，其中keep為及物動詞意為“飼養”，其過去式、過去分詞均為kept。

Will you keep a dog or a cat? 你會養狗還是養貓？

5. He thought that computers would never be used by most people. 他認為電腦將永遠不會被大多數人使用。

本句中的賓語從句為被動語態的句子，其構成為“be+動詞的過去分詞”，其主語為動作的承受者，若想說明動作的發出者，則用介詞by，再加上動作的發出者。本句中most people即為動作的發出者，句子的時態由be動詞體現，本句中的would be為過去將來時。

Trees will be planted tomorrow.樹明天將會被種上。

五、語法技巧

Will 開創美好的未來

一般將來時表示將來某個時間將要發生的動作或存在的狀態，也表示將來經常或反復發生的動作，常與表示將來的時間狀語，如tomorrow, next week, next month,in100 years等連用。

（一） will之夢開始

1.由“助動詞will+動詞原形”構成，will在代詞后常簡寫為’ll, will not常簡寫為won’t。在疑問句中，主語為第一人稱（I和we）時，常用助動詞shall。以go為例列表如下：

人稱 肯定式 否定式 疑問式

第一人稱 I/We will go. I/We will not go. Shall I/We go.

第二人稱 You will go. You will not go. Will you go?

第三人稱 He/She/It/They will go. He/She/It/They will not go. Will he/she/it/they go?

2.由“be going to+動詞原形”構成，表示將要發生的事或打算、計劃、決定要做的事情。

What are you going to do tomorrow?你明天打算做什么？

（二）will之夢實現

1.在書面語中，主語為第一人稱（I和we）時，常用“助動詞shall+動詞原形”。

I shall write you a letter next week.下周我將給你寫封信。

【注意】在口語中，所有人的人稱后都可以用will。

2.表示帶意愿色彩的將來時，常用will。

I will tell you all about it.我愿意把所有的事都告訴你。

3.問對方是否愿意或客氣地邀請或命令時，常用will。

Will you help me with my English?你愿意幫助我學習英語嗎？

4.表示建議或征求對方意見時，可用shall。

Shall we go at twelve?我們十二點鐘走好嗎？

（三）there be句型的一般將來時

1.there be句型的一般將來時的構成為“There will be+主語+其他”，意為“將會有……”。

There will be a wonderful basketball match tonight.

今晚晚上將會有一場精彩的籃球賽。

2.其一般疑問句形式為“Will there be+主語+其他？”其肯定回答為：Yes, there will;否定回答為：No, there won’t。

-Will there be a wonderful basketball match tonight?

今晚會有一場精彩的籃球賽嗎？

-Yes, there will.是的，會有。/No, there won’t.不，不會有。

3.其否定句構成為“There will not/won’t be+主語+其他”，意為“不會有……”。

There won’t be much time left.不會剩下很多時間。

4.其特殊疑問句的構成為“特殊疑問詞/詞組+一般疑問句？”。

Where will there be more room？哪兒會有更多的空間？
